Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce announces The Leadership Circle

The Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce today announced a new group of members known as The Leadership Circle. The Leadership Circle is comprised of local businesses that annually invest significant resources back into the community in an effort to make greater Indianapolis a better place to live, work and do business.

Currently nine local businesses have joined The Leadership Circle:
¨ Bank One
¨ Citizens Gas & Coke Utility
¨ Clarian Health Partners, Inc.
¨ Eli Lilly and Company
¨ Indianapolis Power & Light Company
¨ National City Bank of Indiana
¨ St. Vincent Hospitals and Health Services
¨ Simon Property Group
¨ WellPoint, Inc.

“By making this pledge, these nine area businesses truly are making a statement as to their commitment to both the Chamber and central Indiana,” said John S. Myrland, Chamber president. “We are honored that these organizations have chosen to join The Leadership Circle and are confident that others will join them in the future.”

The following benefits are included for The Leadership Circle members:
¨ A permanent seat on the Chamber’s Executive Committee.
¨ A photograph of the organization’s corporate headquarters used as a rotating header image on the Chamber’s home page.
¨ An article profiling each organization in the Chamber’s Catalyst quarterly magazine.
¨ Engraved name tags given to each organization leader and selected company representatives.
¨ An exquisite gold and diamond lapel pin presented to each organization representative, as a symbol of the organization’s level of commitment to the Chamber.
¨ Additional member listings in the Chamber’s membership directory.
¨ A commemorative sculpture for each organization’s lobby or executive suite.
