Globus® European Guided Tours
October 19, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
Europe travel is back. So, it's no surprise that four of the five most coveted international destinations for Americans are in Europe: the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany.* Now, Globus is unveiling its 2011 Europe vacation packages including a new Israel itinerary as well as renewed journeys for seasoned travelers in Italy. "While group tours are technically what we do, our expertise lies in creating vacations for individuals," said Scott Nisbet, president and chief executive officer of the Globus family of brands. "That's why we give travelers the choice and flexibility they crave with the widest variety of itineraries, travel styles and departure dates available in Europe, plus a dynamic blend of transportation and the ideal combination of free time and planned activities."
Today, Globus unveiled nearly 70 itineraries that range from seven to 27 days, in a plethora of travel styles in every region of Europe including two Italy newcomers (from 2009) making an encore in 2011. They are 10-day Northern Italy's Highlights & Cinque Terre – an Italy vacation in which food, wine and a train ride along the picturesque Mediterranean Sea take center stage – and eight-day Umbria's Treasures. In addition, Globus created a nine-day NEW Fascinating Israel vacation for next year.
According to Nisbet, "Italy will top the hot list" for Globus travelers for 2011. In fact, four of the company's five most favorite tours worldwide are in Italy: The Best of Italy, Italian Mosaic, Italy's Great Cities and Italian Treasures. Other well-liked European tours are: Introduction to Ireland; Spectacular Spain; La France and German Highlights.
"Our tours aren't popular simply because of the destinations they visit," said Nisbet. "We have spent years designing inclusive getaways that give our travelers the best, most enriching vacations possible."
On Globus tours, travelers are privy to award-winning land programs featuring world-class accommodations, guided sightseeing (complete with headsets), engaging lectures and unequaled VIP access into key destinations. They also experience incomparable storytelling, providing the hidden histories behind each site, thanks to the finest Tour Directors in the business.
"The unique tales of landmarks, villages and cities around the world are behind each Globus itinerary," said Nisbet. "We understand that destinations aren't just places on a map, they are the backdrops of some of the most fascinating stories in history."
