The application, called coresuite mobile client, enhances field workforce productivity by mobilizing SAP Business One enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications on users' laptop computers. Within the coresuite mobile client, Perst leverages Silverlight's out-of-browser capability to deliver fast, reliable local sorting, queries and storage, and is synchronized with master data that resides in the coresuite cloud. coresystems hosts SAP Business One applications in this cloud, and makes the coresuite mobile client available for a monthly fee of $14.90 per user.

Using the coresuite mobile client, field sales and service personnel access information about customers and accounts, monitor service queries, record work times and activities, and find directions using the geolocation feature on service maps. To store this persistent client-side data, the coresystems team chose Perst, and thereby gained additional DBMS features including ACID transactions, support for diverse database indexes (B-tree, R-tree, KD-tree, etc.), a flexible and easy-to-use API, garbage collection, full-text search and more.
