COAST Announces Availability of Newest Model in Emergency Area Light (EAL) Line

Portland, Ore. – COAST is pleased to announce the newest addition to its emergency area lighting line: the Emergency Area Light, or EAL (Model #CE7124HGB). The EAL is specially designed for use in emergency situations, such as power outages and road emergencies, as well as for general outdoor recreation and professional use.

"This new line of emergency lights, and specifically the Emergency Area Light, is the evolution of our successful LED lantern line," said David Brands, president of COAST. "We took the best features of those lights – bright white light, long battery life, durability, and the ability to use indoors – and added a red light for night vision and emergency signal use."

Like all COAST LED lights and lanterns, the EAL lights use no propane, matches or flame, so they are safe to use indoors or out. LED lights and lanterns last longer and are less expensive to operate than flame, fluorescent or incandescent bulb lights. This model is powered by four D batteries and will run up to 125 hours on one set of batteries. Light output can be adjusted with the push button on/off switch with Variable Light Technology (VLT) that allows the user to choose the light level that suits best with the task.

The Coast EAL allows four light output options:

— Solid Red – Red light will not affect night vision and is perfect for use as a signal light or when only a small amount of light is needed.
— Emergency Strobe – The flashing red strobe light is designed to be used as an emergency signal.
— Solid White – The 125 lumens of white light is bright enough to light a 20 x 20 room, large tent or emergency area.
— Multiple White Levels – Variable Light Technology (VLT) allows multiple light levels to provide the right amount of light for a specific task and conserves battery life.
