The event is taking place on October 17th 2010 and will see plenty of people turning out to support three charities in the area - Friends of Forest Holme, Julia's House and Lewis-Manning, which is a voluntary hospice in Poole.

Part of the attraction of the Hospice 10k is the gorgeous route, which runs from Bournemouth Pier approach to Southbourne, before heading back.

Naturally, everyone participating can expect to get the full vocal backing of locals and other visitors in town to support runners.

The entrance fee to run the Hospice 10k is £15, but the organisers have called on people to raise as much money as they can in sponsorship to ensure the charities receive a significant boost.

According to the organisers, the occasion will last from 10:00 to 14:00 BST.
