Michigan First Credit Union Enhances Its Careers Website

LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich. – Aug. 25, 2010 – Michigan First Credit Union today announced the launch of its enhanced careers website, www.MichiganFirstCareers.com, which serves as an online resource for career opportunities as well as information on Michigan First and tools and tips to assist job seekers. The new site follows the recent launch of a completely redesigned Michigan First website (www.MichiganFirst.com).

The new website features a listing of open positions, complete with responsibilities and required qualifications, on-line resume submission, information about Michigan First's culture and benefits, tips for building resumes, and information to help prepare and participate in interviews. The site also allows visitors to create a "job agent," which helps identify potential opportunities at Michigan First. Those interested in becoming a team member (employee) can create a personal job agent by entering information about themselves, uploading their resumes and selecting the frequency with which they would like to be notified regarding new positions.

"We wanted to create a one-stop shop where potential team members could not only view the open positions at the credit union but also gain a better understanding of the credit union's culture," said Monica Horger, vice president of human resources. "This site provides a snapshot of who the credit union is to help potential team members see if Michigan First is the right place for them."
