Having provided fireworks for major sporting events such as Formula One races and German touring car championships, the company put on a breathtaking show for the Berlin audience.

The grand finale saw a display from Germany's Flash Art, who combined elements of fire, water and light in their performance.

As well as the fireworks, the Pyronale could provide Berlin visitors with an opportunity to see the Olympic Stadium, which was built for the 1936 Games.

The Maifield is a huge lawn situated alongside the arena that was originally created for gynamstic demonstrations.
