The organisers explained that the caterers have been looking after the food and drink available in the museum since the beginning of the year and have used turned the terrace area into a gastro-bar.
"Once again this year, the Museo Thyssen will be taking advantage of the summer nights with an irresistible combination of art and gastronomy," they added.
Guests at Madrid hotels could opt to come to the eatery for a full meal or simply a few cocktails, although it may be worth booking ahead if it is likely to be a busy night.
From Tuesday to Saturday every week, the exhibition will be open until 23:00 local time, with access to the gastro-bar for food and drink, which does not shut until 01:00 each morning.
There is no entrance fee for getting into the bar, but people will still need to pay the conventional museum cost, which is €7 (£5.85).
