LateRooms.com highlights Melbourne Art Fair will return to the city for its second showing of the year at the start of next month. The five-day show runs between August 4th and 8th 2010 at the Royal Exhibition Building and is being billed by its organisers as "Australia's premier international visual arts event".
A selection of more than 80 national and international art galleries contribute works for the exhibition, with paintings, sculpture, installations, photography and multi-media art all set to feature.
Some of these galleries will travel from as far afield as China, Malaysia, India and the US to appear at the Melbourne show, where it is thought that over 900 artists will be represented.
Although it gets underway on August 4th, members of the public will only be able to attend the fair on the other four days. Tickets will be priced at A$25 (£13.80) for adults and A$19 for concessions, and can be purchased on the door.
According to the team behind the art fair, as many as 30,000 visitors could flock through the doors of the venue while the event is on. Consequently, LateRooms is advising that anyone who is planning to attend should book some of the cheap accommodation Melbourne has to offer as soon as possible.
LateRooms.com recommends a variety of Melbourne hotels, including the Ibis Melbourne and Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne.
