The exhibition is due to tour around three cities in the country between July and September.

From July 1st until July 31st, the pieces will be on show in the capital city.

According to Tourism Malaysia, the festival will give anyone who visits "an insight into Malaysia's fascinating contemporary art scene".

The Petronas Art Gallery and the National Art Gallery will play host to all of the artworks while the exhibition is in Kuala Lumpur.

Paintings from both established and up-and-coming artists will be on display to the public during the month-long arts festival.

The Petronas Art Gallery was established by the multinational company of the same name in 1993, with the aim of promoting and preserving art within Malaysia.

It is free to get into the Petronas Art Gallery and visitors are welcome Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 20:00 (local time).

Anyone who wants a memento of their stay in Kuala Lumpur will find there is also a shop at the gallery, which is open until 17:00 each day.
