Sacramento, CA - A new music teachers association dedicated to helping music teachers and music schools enhance their professional image and attract music students is now up and running. The North American Music Teachers Association (NAMTA) began offering membership benefits effective June 1, 2010. According to David Terry, president and founder of NAMTA, "we're the first professional music teachers' association dedicated to the business side of music lessons and instruction. NAMTA strives to promote excellence in music education by helping reputable music teachers and schools attain higher visibility and credibility within their local communities."
NAMTA supports its members with sophisticated Internet marketing and advertising programs that generate leads for teachers and schools. "Members post their professional web pages on NAMTA's website, showcasing their music teaching credentials, as well as their specific areas of expertise," Terry added.
"Music teachers and schools can also display music teaching schedules, so prospective students can see when lessons are offered - either at music studios or in students' homes."
Free Online Access for Music Students
"Parents and students looking for quality music education in their communities will enjoy free online access to NAMTA, where they can view our member web pages," Terry added. "We want to help parents and students find the right teachers for their music education goals and needs."
To join NAMTA, music teachers have the option to pass an automated criminal background check. "The background check gives students and parents greater trust and peace of mind when choosing a music education program", Terry said.
Music Schools may also pass a business background check that provides proof they are legal business entities.
For a limited time, NAMTA is offering free, ONE year trial memberships to qualified music teachers and schools. For details, visit their website or call NAMTA at 888.861.6604.
