Go Camping UK today announced their new cycle camping holidays for July and August 2010, designed specifically to appeal to families. It combines their hassle free ready erected luxury tents with a luggage transportation service and a family inspired cycle tour route around the Suffolk Coasts and Heaths AONB.For more details, visit http://www.gocampinguk.co.uk
The week long camping holiday brings together hassle free pre-erected tents with a gently paced cycling route. The achievable distances enable nearly all families to enjoy the challenge of completing the cycling adventure. Along the way are activities for children to do and places of interest to visit, keeping the whole family amused. The route passes castles, beaches, pick-your-own farms, dramatic heath lands, forest tracks and pretty villages in one of England's most rural counties.
Over the course of a week there are three cycling legs to complete and three campsites to visit. Each campsite enjoys its own unique characteristic from campfires at The Orchard Campsite to private beach access at Cliff House Holiday Park in Dunwich on the Suffolk Coast. At each site families are accommodated in Go Camping UK's ready pitched tents which come complete with comfortable beds, crockery, fridge, lights and everything else needed for a camping holiday.
The cycle camping holiday has been running for two years in a format aimed at more serious cyclists but responding to previous customers requests, Ian Peet, director of Go Camping UK explains why the company took the initiative to completely remodel the previous holiday. 'Customer feedback suggested that they wanted the holiday to be less intense with less cycling and more camping. Families, in particular, wanted more of the gentle pace enjoyed on our camping holidays but retain the shared satisfaction of their cycling adventure but without feeling that they had run a marathon.'
Another innovation to the previous cycling and camping holiday includes new activities for children to do whilst cycling. Animal spotting, distance guessing and observation games are now part of the route and map package designed to keep younger children engaged with their environment whilst they cycle.
The camping holiday comes complete with a luggage and food transportation service and a cycle hire option. With the cycle hire add on all ages can be catered for with kiddy trailers, tag-alongs, children's bikes and adult bikes all of which are backed up by an AA style breakdown service.
July and August cycle camping holidays are available from Go Camping UK from £549 per family.
