ISS Group Details the Benefits of Energy Monitoring and Management

ISS Group®, who has been bringing cost effective and innovative eCommerce and web-based Business Process Improvement solutions to the QAD® community since 1995, recently attended the bi-annual QAD® MFG/PRO® (Enterprise Applications®) Midwest User Group Conference (MWUG) in Sandusky, Ohio, as a Conference Sponsor and Solution Vendor. While in attendance, ISS Group (ISSG) provided a joint session with Wellman Products Group discussing the implementation of ISSG's iPurchase™ (Purchase Order Requisition Management & Approval Workflow) solution for QAD, as well as introducing to the community a very exciting solution for Energy & Asset Management.

While in attendance, ISS Group performed a non-scientific, random survey among the attending MFG/PRO® community to see what was considered the top three IT supported business initiatives for 2010. As suspected, reducing operating expense came in #1, with improving customer satisfaction and increasing profitability coming in #2 and #3 respectively.

As a result, Andy was recently featured in the Spring Edition of the Midwest User Group Newsletter (MWUG News) released April 30,2010, where he discussed these findings, and the challenges IT professionals and management face today to reduce costs. The article looks past the traditional areas of cost savings, such as JIT Inventory, and focuses on new areas that significantly help companies reduce operating expenses; Andy calls these areas, "Untapped Pots of Gold".
