Grant Stevens, MD, Joins Breastimplants4you.com's Editorial Advisory Board

Breastimplants4you.com is pleased to announce that Grant Stevens, MD, has joined its newly-formed Editorial Advisory Board. A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Stevens is the medical director of Marina Plastic Surgery Associates in Marina Del Ray, CA. He is a past chairman of the department of surgery and the liposuction committee at Daniel Freeman Marina Hospital, where he also served as co-director of the facility's Breast Center. Currently, Dr. Stevens is on staff at St. John's Medical Center in Santa Monica, CA, and is the medical director at Marina Outpatient Surgery Center in Marina Del Ray.

Dr. Stevens is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the International College of Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He was recently inducted into the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and is the past chairman of the California Medical Association Advisory Panel on Plastic Surgery.

In his role as editorial advisor to breastimplants4you.com, Dr. Stevens will help the editorial team develop ideas for cutting-edge articles on breast augmentation and will review existing and future articles for medical accuracy. Dr. Stevens coined the term "gummy bear" implants as a way of explaining the new highly cohesive silicone gel implants that are currently being studied. He is also the chair of the ASAPS media relations committee.

Dr. Stevens graduated with honors from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. He completed his general surgery training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, and then returned to Washington University-Barnes Hospital to complete a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
