BridesVillage.com Launches Series of Wedding Contests

BridesVillage, an online retailer of wedding accessories, announced today that it has launched a series of wedding contests on its website. The first contest, which can be entered now on BridesVillage.com, is open to anyone planning a wedding. Visitors become eligible to win simply by completing a form with their name and email address.

"We are really excited about the launch of these contests," said Cathy Ward, owner of BridesVillage. "We've wanted to do wedding giveaways for a long time; they're a great way for our customers to have fun when they visit our site."

For the first wedding sweepstakes BridesVillage is giving away four Honeymoon Tote Packages that are each filled with over a $100 worth of prizes. The prizes feature a variety of honeymoon-themed treats including "just married" flip flops, a romantic beach towel, an ankle bracelet, and even a digital countdown clock to build excitement for the big day. One winner will be chosen every two weeks between May 15th and July 1st, 2010.

Visitors can enter up to once per day during the contest period and winners will be notified by email. Ward said the results of each giveaway as well as announcements for future contests will also be posted on Facebook and Twitter.

Ward added, "This contest is just the beginning. We're looking to make future contests more interactive and to give couples a chance to really show off what they're doing for their wedding. There's going to be even bigger prizes, more ways to win, and plenty of surprises along the way."

Ward said the addition of future wedding contests will become a regular feature of her website and that each sweepstakes is designed to be more than just a promotional tool. "These contests are about more than just free wedding stuff," Ward said. "They're an entertaining and cool way for us to thank our customers and show them how much we appreciate their business."
