All mobile devices available in the market can benefit from this service through any GPRS network or WIFI while at the venue. It is not restricted to a particular mobile format like WML WAP, XHTML, PDA HTML or even European/international standards like PML/iMode. More importantly, there is no need to download a client application on the mobile device.

The Mobile Guide and the GITEX Route Map will have the list of exhibitors and floor plans. The Mobile Guide will provide information about exhibitors and their location, hotel and travel information as well as local prayer times and weather updates.

With online visitor pre-registration gathering momentum, the Mobile Guide will act as an added facility to prospective trade visitors. During the remaining few days more visitors are expected to go online to pre-register at www.gitex.com.

GITEX 2005, in its 25th edition this year is scheduled to take place from September 25th to 29th, 2005 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre halls. This year GITEX will occupy all the 13 halls and the two concourses at the centre.
