To celebrate being an Official Sponsor of the 2010 World Cup South Africa (TM), Continental Tyres is running a series of World Cup competitions with thousands of prizes including two luxury South African holidays.BRITAIN'S BIGGEST FOOTBALL FAN WORLD CUP COMPETITION
Britain's football fans are being invited to prove their commitment to the Big Game in order to be crowned Britain's Biggest Football Fan.
Continental asks: "What lengths have you gone to in order to get to a match? If it's a good story, we want to hear about it - the more extreme the better!"
The 'top fan' will win a personalised holiday for two to South Africa worth approximately £7,000.
Entries so far include:
* A fan who drove from London to Moscow to get to the Champions League Final
* A fan who travelled from Ireland and nearly missed his exams
* One who came all the way from Australia to see Blackburn Rovers play, only to be thwarted by a delayed train and never got to the match
* And one man who insisted on going to a match against doctors orders before major surgery
How to Enter:
Fans are required to tell Continental - in no more than 500 words - the effort and sacrifices they've made not to miss a big game. Entries are via: www.continentalsbiggame.co.uk, where further details and full Terms & Conditions are also available. The deadline for entries is 26th April.
The competition is supported by the Federation of Football Supporters (FSF), with David Rose and Mark Longden from the FSF on the judging panel.
