Tally To Make Major Foray In The Middle East Market

Tally Solutions, developers of one of the world’s leading business accounting software that is used extensively in more than 88 countries spanning Asia, Africa, Europe and the Far East, announced plans to make a major foray into the Middle East market through its participation at GITEX 2005.At the 25th edition of the premier international IT event in Dubai, Tally Solutions will showcase its latest product Tally 7.2, that already boasts more than 1.8 million users in three continents.
Bharath Gopalakrishnan, President Software & Services Group for Tally Solutions, said: “Tally’s Middle East expansion comes as a sequel to our ongoing progress that has enabled us to explore business opportunities worldwide.”
“Our accounting software is widely accepted in 88 countries as the most user-friendly one with a series of advanced technical features. The MEA region has been identified as the fastest growing area for IT services with a market size of AED 25.60 billion* (US$ 6.98 billion) and offers a far greater potential for business software than we have seen in other more established markets,” Mr. Gopalakrishnan pointed out.
Accounting software, especially those cost-effective solutions that come with adequate on-line support generally evoke an enthusiastic response. Tally Solutions already enjoys a privileged position in the developed and developing markets.
The company has a worldwide network of overseas offices covering the UK, Western Europe, Asia-Pacific region and the Far East. Tally Solutions has also been accredited by the Chartered Accountants Association of England and Wales.
“We have some major plans in the pipeline for the region and these will be unveiled during our participation at GITEX 2005,” added Mr. Gopalakrishnan.
At GITEX, Tally Solutions will offer a glimpse of its finance, accounting and inventory management solutions.
Tally - the package and the brand - has been built over 19 years and developed by a businessman not a software whiz. For sheer numbers, today Tally has over 1.8 million users outside India. In India, over 3.5 million small establishments and a bulk of 80,000 professional chartered accountants use Tally accounting solutions.
Over the next four years, Tally has plans to introduce pay-roll packages, Tally on Microsoft and Linux platforms and also in multiple languages. The company gets 90% of its business from the domestic market in India and 10% from exports.
