Michael Aram Pieces Now Available at Akron Interior Design Shop

Distinctions Design is pleased to begin offering Michael Aram serving pieces and home accent pieces.

An American-born artist now based in India, Aram creates a wide variety of work, mostly in metal, along with some marble, glass and even granite. His pieces range from salt and pepper shakers to serving platters to large vases, wall hangings and accent furniture.

"We just fell in love with it," said Distinctions Design Principal Bonita Eberhart. "The metalwork is what makes it so unique. It's just exquisite."

Distinctions learned of Aram's work last year in Cleveland and began offering some pieces in time for the holidays. A number of smaller items were sold as Christmas hostess and thank-you gifts.

"We are getting a very good response," reported Eberhart, who expects the Michael Aram lines to be very popular as wedding gifts in the coming months.

Aram's work is segmented into a whole array of nature themes, such as wisteria, dogwood and olive branches. The natural focus of his pieces gives them an immediacy and dynamism that attracts large numbers of buyers.

Eberhart said the Michael Aram offerings include something for every price point, with most of his pieces at Distinctions running between $30 and $200. Additional works are available by special order.
