Generally speaking, it's an online journal comprised of links and postings in reverse chronological order, meaning the most recent posting appears at the top of the page.It is “post- centric” rather than like a web site which is “page – centric”. Blogging has dramatically grown over the last few years, to become part of a new “Killer Application for Real Estate Agents, easy enough for them to update by email, interactive to allow comments and posts ( articles ) by interested Community residents, or even investors protecting their properties interests” Roger Miles from Localsblog.com.au said.

With the popularity of RSS ( Real Simple Syndication ), Readers and Feeders increasing, distributing and aggregating posts, across the web and automatically to these readers, the ease of having information delivered to your desktop automatically has arrived.

It is a boon for researchers, the public and busy people not wanting to spend all day surfing or searching for information wanted on a regular basis.

Miles added, “this will power the blogging along with a huge increase in real estate blogs appearing on the internet, particularly on a subject so close to the Australian way of life.”

Technorati.com, a global blog search engine, experienced an increase in real estate blog search results of 100,000 posts between August and September this year, resulting in 422,650 real estate related posts being shown.

Localsblog.com.au, being launched as a community blog portal, will list community blogs across Australia from every region where a real estate agent is active. “They will all form part of the Localsblog network of real estate community blogging sites” Roger said.
