LateRooms.com - Eco Home exhibition 'offers tips on being greener'

LateRooms.com can announce that with a growing emphasis on being environmentally friendly and reducing carbon footprints, many people may be interested to know how they can make their house more energy efficient.

If this is the case, then one event taking place in the UK's capital could give them something to think about when they return home after a stay in London hotels.

The Eco Home event at the Geffrye Museum offers debates, workshops, talks and a study day that are designed to show climate change is increasingly affecting building design and every day life.

TV presenter Oliver Heath will also be on hand to give advice on renewable energy, responsible sourcing, industrial production methods and energy-saving ideas.

David Dewing, the museum's director, said, "This is the right moment for the Geffrye to mount a show exploring how our homes have - and will be - affected by concerns about the planet. Eco Home will help us to consider ways in which almost every home could become a bit greener."

Running until February 7th 2010, this could give visitors a valuable insight into being more eco-friendly.

Eco Home is open from 10:00 – 17:00 Tuesday to Saturday and 12:00 – 17:00 on Sundays.

Geffrye Museum displays a variety of paintings, furnishings and textiles that depict UK homes from 1600 to the present day.
