LateRooms.com can announce that the majority of Germany may be landlocked, but this does not mean that people staying in hotels in Düsseldorf cannot enjoy one nautical event.Boat exhibition takes place between January 23rd and 31st at Messe Düsseldorf and is likely to be a must-see for yacht fans or sailing enthusiasts.
Although the organisers note that the 2009 boating season is almost over, this event give people the opportunity to see some of the latest models and perhaps eye-up any vessels they want to purchase next year.
Some of the new motorboats that will be on display include the 70 Sunreef Power Jumbo, which has a range of 800 nautical miles and is ideal for family trips, as well as the Absolute 40, which offers "racing spirit, comfort and ease of navigation".
Sailing yachts making an appearance at the fair include the CNB Bordeaux 60, the Corsair Dash 750 and the Sunreef 70 Seazen II, which is a spacious and modern catamaran.
As well as boats, jet-skis, surfing and equipment for most watersports, representatives from professional training centres and tourist agencies will also be on hand to pass on their knowledge to visitors.
One-day tickets for the event cost €15 (£13.30), while two-day passes can be purchased for €23.
Düsseldorf is not the only European city to be hosting a boating event, as the Madrid International Boat show takes place from March 17th until the 21st.
Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, commented: "Demand for the Boat exhibition is always significant and we recommend that anyone considering attending should book their hotel Düsseldorf as early as possible."
