Lincoln, NE Optometrist Dr. Charles Coren Re-launches Website

Optical Delights, an eye care practice and eyewear boutique located in Lincoln, NE, announces their new website. Founder and owner Dr. Charles H. Coren, a veteran optometrist in Lincoln for over 40 years, says, "It constantly surprises me how powerfully the Internet has shaped our lives and behavior. People just don't look in the Yellow Pages for optometrists anymore." Noting that the original website design from 1998 simply did not meet the needs of online savvy customers in 2010, Dr. Coren states, "I knew we needed a change." The new website is designed to allow users to easily find pertinent information about the business, such as office hours and services offered, as well as contact the practice via online forms.

While Optical Delights still positions itself as a leading retailer for designer frames for Lincoln and surrounding areas, the practice has recently adopted an additional name to more clearly describe the services that they offer; namely, the Coren Eye Care Center. Dr. Coren mentions that by rebranding as the Coren Eye Care Center, it became clearer to potential patients that Optical Delights is not only a store to buy a pair of glasses. "I am practically an eye doctor since birth," he quips. "My father was an optometrist. I have been an eye doctor since I graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1972. It's been my life work. While I believe that offering unique lines of designer frames is an important aspect of my business, I also want residents of Lincoln to be aware of the fact that I'm an eye doctor, too." From a business perspective, Dr. Coren feels that the launch of a new website is the right time to put forth a new message to the community, including changing the name of the practice.

The Coren Eye Care Center and Optical Delights is located at the Edgewood Shopping Center, just north of the Super Saver, near the intersection of 56th Street and Highway 2. Services include eye examinations, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and vision conditions, and prescription of lenses. LASIK Co-Management and Cataract Co-Management services are also handled at the Edgewood location.
