LateRooms.com can announce that a whole host of delicious food could be waiting for those booking Seville hotels – especially if they head to the city in February.

At this time of year the Seville Tapas Fair takes place, which could be the perfect opportunity for visitors to sample some authentic Spanish cuisine.

There are about 50 restaurants officially taking part in the event, although Spanish Fiestas notes that many more participate on an unofficial basis, "offering their own individual specialties for people's delight".

Although people cannot sample all of the food for free at the festival there are plenty of deals to be had and visitors are likely to find something to tickle their taste buds, whether they prefer meat, fish or vegetables.

There are some traditional Spanish dishes on offer, such as those based around ham and cheese, as well as regional specialities like shrimp fritters, dates wrapped in bacon or kidneys and duck in Pedro Jimenez sauce.

Because Seville, which is located near the Guadalquivir river, is quieter in February, tourists can "meander comfortably through the captivating streets and go into places offering the very best tapas in the world", Spanish Fiestas continues.

The Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones, located along the Avenida de Alcalde de Luis Urunuela is at the heart of the action.

Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, commented: "Demand for the Seville Tapas Fair is always significant and we recommend that anyone considering attending should book their hoteles Sevilla as early as possible."
