The abseil is the latest fundraising initiative from staff at Hastings for their "Charity of the Year", which works hard to provide advice and support to those with Spina Bifida or Hydrocephalus.
SASBAH organises a range of different schemes to support the needs of those with the conditions including social activities, buddy schemes and educational advisors to help users reach their full potential. Family support, residential trips and welfare are also provided by the charity.
Rom Sanglaji, General Manager of SASBAH said "We are all really grateful to Hastings Direct for all the fundraising they have done this year. This abseil is just the latest in a long list of fun events and must be the most exciting, or scary, depending on whether you've reached the ground or are waiting at the top!
"SASBAH supports over 400 families throughout Sussex who are affected by either Spina Bifida or Hydrocephalus, many of whom will enjoy an extra special Christmas thanks to money raised by the intrepid abseilers. They all deserve a medal for undertaking this huge challenge."
Jay Wootten, Chairman of Hastings Direct's Charity Committee, commented "We're delighted to be able to give something back to SASBAH, who do some fantastic work in our local communities. The fundraising events that we've taken part in this year have been great fun, and the abseil promises to be more of the same."
