Sandy Tuason Named Executive Chef at The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows

KOHALA COAST, Hawaii – November 5, 2009 - The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows located on the Kohala Coast announced the appointment of Sandy Tuason as Executive Chef. Chef Tuason will oversee all of Mauna Lani's culinary operations and will be instrumental in showcasing Mauna Lani's new dining experience.

Chef Tuason joins us from the Four Seasons Resort in Nevis, West Indies. His 18 years of culinary experience include his tenure as Executive Sous Chef at the Four Seasons, New York and Le Madri Italian Restaurant. He's trained under the tutelage of renowned Chefs Daniel Boulud and David Burke. In London he refined his culinary talents under Star Michelin French Chefs, Albert Roux and Michel Roux.

Tuason is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.
