September 12, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Health News
The study on pelvic floor magnetic therapy was published in the “Journal of Urology” (2005).

Men who were categorized as category III prostatitis were treated either with magnetic therapy or placebo therapy, twice weekly for four weeks.

Symptom scores decreased significantly for the men who received the magnetic therapy and remained decreased at 3 months and 1 year after treatment. Pain was the symptom that improved the most during the study.

Chronic prostatitis is considered a disease of unknown etiology in the majority of cases and is often considered the most common cause of chronic pelvic syndrome in men.
