HR Connexions help Business Link West Midlands Reduce their Cost per Hire to £200

After looking into various ways of reducing recruitment costs and cutting back the amount of man hours involved in the recruitment process Business Link West Midlands decided to use the HR Connexions Online Recruitment System and Support Service to recruit their staff. A bespoke web based recruitment platform was created which automatically links up adverts placed around the internet and in other media with interested applicants. This ensured that their Talent Attraction Strategy, largely focused on online media, would enable applicants to apply for jobs online quickly and efficiently.
Once an applicant applies, they are screened by HR Connexions and then sent directly to the Business Link talent pool. Interviews can be arranged directly or they can use the HR Connexions Support Service. This is great if they have staff on holidays or if they are trying to recruit a number of staff at the same time.
Kelly Pickering, HR Business Partner explains "By using the HR Connexions System the cost of acquiring new employees has now dropped to an average of only £200 per person. As we have taken on a number of staff over a short period of time, this system has saved our organisation an enormous amount of money.
The other great thing we have noticed about the HR Connexions System is that we have been able to build a large pool of interested applicants. This has enabled us to fill roles in other areas of our organisation quickly and without the need to re-advertise".
