POPULAR Launches Singapore E-Learning and Education Portals

Popular e-Learning Holdings Pte Ltd, the digital arm of POPULAR Holdings, has recently launched the eduPOP e-learning website that aims to provide a one stop Online Assessment and Online Learning portal for Singapore school students.

The portal allows parents to preview, purchase and access content from different education portals via a single login, thus freeing up the hassle of parents needing to remember multiple passwords.

As part of the launch campaign, demonstration booths have been placed in selected POPULAR bookshops in Singapore to help provide a better experience for parents in making informed decisions in the purchase of relevant education products for their child.

eduPOP offers a suite of contents starting from as low as SGD$12.90 for their e-Assesssment series with automark and performance analysis module to about SGD$100.00 for various e-Learning package from different vendors with unique features including diagnositic abilities, mini virtual world, interactive experiments based on Singapore Primary School and GCE "O" level syllabus.

According to Jimmy Low, the Product Manager of eduPOP, "response has been encouraging, especially for the PSLE programs. However, we're still constantly adding new content through our partners."

Simultaneously, the company also launched ePOPULAR in an effort to provide one-stop access to education advice and information, a comprehensive directory of educational products and services such as schools and tuition centres, great deals and offers from our preferred partners in Singapore.

This website offers the following content and services:

- The EduBuzz and Family Focus sections cover key issues related to education and family life such as preschool education, school registration, learning and enrichment, money management, health and family bonding.

- The Shopping Mall brings together good deals and savings for EduCommunity members including eCoupon offers from selected vendors, a listing of the best deals in town, and a new shopping reservation site known as eSPREE!, which offers members the opportunity to reserve specially-priced educational and lifestyle products including CD-ROMs, fashionwear and skincare products.

- The EduDirectory is a searchable database of over 3,000 companies offering educational services and lifestyle products. These companies include private schools and enrichment centres, language learning centres, specialty programmes, adult education courses and lifelong learning providers.

- The What's On Calendar provides users with a useful and timely calendar of relevant programmes, workshops and events that their children and families can participate in.
