Location3 Media Named Finalist for OMMA Awards

Denver, CO — Location3 Media is one of three finalists in the Search Marketing: SEM Campaign category for the Online Advertising Creativity Award. "Beyond Paid Search: The making of a blockbuster campaign," the campaign being recognized, was developed for Starz Entertainment starting in late 2008 and running through mid-2009."The search program we developed for Starz wasn't your run-of-the-mill SEM campaign," says Erik Whaley, manager of the Starz campaign. "We know the target audience, but we had to find out where they hung out online and develop an innovative approach to reaching them."
In addition to a comprehensive pay per click program, the Starz campaign used advanced contextual marketing to increase traffic, clicks, viewers and subscriptions to Starz Entertainment's Starz service in connection with its original television series "Crash," which debuted in October 2008. Tarla Cummings, SEO/social media manager at Location3 Media, also headed up a social media marketing program for Starz. Her team monitored social media networks for conversations about company and televisions series, information which helped Starz engage with fans and create unique online user experiences.
Final judging begins on September 9; winners are announced on September 21, the first night of OMMA Global New York expo. The OMMA Awards event takes place at the New York Marriott Marquis. This marks the fourth year for the OMMA Awards. Winners come from three disciplines-Online Advertising Creativity, Integrated Online Campaigns and Website Excellence. Participants vie for position in a total of 61 categories-28 for advertising, 15 for online and 18 for websites.
