Dr. Boothe Helps Sponsor the 10th Annual Tom Landry Classic

Dr. William Boothe and the team at Boothe Eye Care and Laser Center are proud to be Classic Corporate Partners of the 10th annual Tom Landry Classic. Dr. Boothe has supported this premier event for several years and is honored to hand out the scholarships to the deserving youth during the event's awards banquet.

The Tom Landry Classic is one of the highest profile high school football events in the United States, and on average draws at attendance of 22,500. The event was created to honor Tom Landry, the two-time Super Bowl winning, legendary coach of the Dallas Cowboys. This year's event, to be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Southern Methodist University's Gerald J. Ford Stadium, will pit the Southlake Carroll Dragons vs. the Plano West Wolves in the early game and the Highland Park Scots vs. the Red Oaks Hawks in the later game.

In addition to the football games highlighting some of the area's elite high school football teams, the event offers scholarship opportunities for players, managers, trainers, band members, cheerleaders and field performers. To date, the event and its corporate sponsors, of which Dr. Boothe is one, have awarded nearly $400,000 in college assistance to deserving students.

Dr. Boothe believes that giving back to the community is an integral part of being a responsible citizen. His involvement in the Tom Landry Classic is just one of the events that he participates in order to help his fellow Texans.
