The Chicago law office, Clifford Law Offices, today announced that it has posted a legal article on their website (http://aviation.cliffordlaw.com) in an effort to educate the public about legal matters such as Airline Safety and personal injury law."The investigation into the crash of Continental Connection Flight 3407 is exposing the web of relationships between the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), regional airline carriers and major airline carriers. The top priority in the investigation is working to insure that a tragedy like this never occurs again. One of the most problematic issues uncovered so far is the knowledge that low airspeed alerters, recommended by the National Transportation Safety Board, were not installed on the plane. Experts have said that these devices would have prevented this crash."
Robert Clifford, the nationally renowned personal injury attorney based out of Chicago, wrote an article about his experience at the public congressional hearings on Continental Connection Flight 3407 in a piece originally published in Chicago Lawyer entitled, "Search for Airline Safety." In the article, Clifford goes on to describe other findings that came out at the hearings and how they should have been caught and corrected by the regulatory agencies tasked with policing the carriers. Moreover, Clifford Law Offices, currently representing the families of several victims of the crash, has proposed initiatives to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the NTSB which are intended to improve flight safety in these situations. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) and Barbara Boxer (D-Cal.) have vowed to garner bipartisan support for legislative amendments that address these initiatives in part.
