TINY TICKETS MAKES ONLINE TICKET SALES POSSIBLE FOR AMATEUR PERFORMERS AND SMALL-SCALE EVENT PRODUCERS
August 26, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
This week sees the launch of Tiny Tickets (www.TinyTickets.com), an online box office system which enables smaller event organizers, such as amateur and equity waiver theater companies, choirs, orchestras, music promoters, clubs, and self producing artists to sell their tickets on the internet, at no cost to the seller. While larger professional theaters have long enjoyed the efficiencies of computerized box office systems and online booking, smaller venues and amateur groups have not had that opportunity, until now.
The Tiny Tickets website does away with the burden of managing ticket sales, which usually has to fall on one person in order to keep the records and seating straight.
Once the online seating plan has been set up and performance details entered, members of the public can book and pay for seats online, linking through the event promoter’s own website or going directly to the Tiny Tickets box office site. Groups and promoters without their own site can be given their own pages on TinyTickets.com .Customers select their seats and pay by credit or debit card. Tiny Tickets covers its costs by means of a small fee added to the ticket price. There is also a nationwide toll free number for ticket buyers who prefer not to use the internet.
Tiny Tickets owner Nat Colley explains; “The inspiration for Tiny Tickets was the hassle that I personally experienced when handling ticket sales for my own shows”. Tiny Tickets is currently seeking groups or promoters with up coming productions and events to take part in the first phase of its launch.
