Basingstoke, UK, April 2nd, 2009 - Mobile IQ, the leader in mobile publishing solutions, and The Guardian newspaper has announced the launch of "Guardian Mobile" – an extension of its online edition. The Guardian is a national daily newspaper published in the United Kingdom, with a global audience and the service represents the 350th site to go-live on Mobile IQ's Fabric platform – a significant milestone for the company.
Emily Bell, the Guardian New Media director of digital content, commented "It has been our strategy for a long time to put Guardian journalism in front of as many people as possible on as many platforms as possible".
Shaun Barriball, Managing Director of Mobile IQ, said that the company is proud that the Guardian selected Mobile IQ as part of its mobile strategy and that it is fitting that such a prestigious publication becomes the 350th live site.
He added "We are finding real traction for our mobile publishing solution with content owners, as they look to plug the gap left by declining revenue from print and online services. As well as providing a market leading platform, customers benefit from the expertise we offer that enables them to make the most of mobile".
