Dandridge, TN – As summer comes to an end, homeschool families across North America are analyzing their curriculum choices for the new school year. Known to seek the best resources for teaching their children at home, parent educators often use word-of-mouth and curriculum fairs to delve deeper into the offerings of educational companies and family-focused vendors. The Old Schoolhouse Magazine offers new subscribers to their quarterly publication a head start on curriculum buying by providing them with a “Bouquet of Gifts” worth almost $300. The “Bouquet” includes a two year subscription to the magazine and 19 free products from a variety of educational suppliers.

Only 5,000 new subscribers are able to participate in this budget-stretching promotion, which sold out in the Spring issue. The Summer 2005 “Bouquet” includes products from companies well-known in the education industry and those just starting to brand themselves in the homeschool market. Participating companies include Apologia Ministries, Christian Book Distributors and Learning Resources. Returning participants include BJU Press, Sue Gregg Cookbooks and Explorer’s Bible Study.

“Every ‘Bouquet’ promotion offers opportunities for not only our returning companies, but also those who want to test the waters of the homeschool market,” states Melonie Murray, Director of Public Relations for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. “Seeing companies like Sara Jordan Publishers, Miller Pads and Paper, and Backwoods Home Magazine come on board means that these companies recognize the importance of working with home educators. Homeschool families benefit from these offerings, since educational products and curriculum can add up fast!”
