Spectracom Announces New Telecom Division

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK — Spectracom Corporation announced today the advancement of its long term strategy to expand its core competencies in time and frequency products to serve next generation communications networks. To support this initiative Spectracom has appointed Mr. Jack Rice as Vice President and General Manager of its new Telecom Division based in Austin, Texas. Lisa Withers, President & CEO said “Spectracom has a long history in delivering synchronization solutions to vital communications markets. Going forward, we are eager to bring this experience to bear in emerging markets for converged network optimization. From his many years as General Manager for Datum Corporation and recent work at Trimble Navigation, Jack and our new Telecom team bring to the company a strong understanding of communications network infrastructure and vision for customer focused solutions.”
In conjunction with the creation of the Telecom Division, Spectracom also announced the introduction of the Timing Enhancement Kit (TEK) product line. “We are very excited to bring this set of products to market and deliver next generation solutions to network customers” said Mr. Rice. “I believe we have a great starting position to expand Spectracom’s presence in Telecom markets and advance a broad set of strategic objectives for both the company and our customers”.
