OptimusTM Lens to launch North American operations in Spring 2009

Raleigh, NC - OptimusTM Lens brings premium spectacle lenses to North America. Ultra premium lenses sold in Europe for over thirty years will be offered at near factory pricing. According to company executive, Dane Wallace, "Our strategy for entering the North American market is to introduce a premium quality line of optical products that are higher quality than anything currently offered in the market. We plan to leverage our low-overhead model by bringing these products to market at a fraction of the price the big brand distributors can offer." Full-scale North American distribution of premium quality spectacle lenses directly to optical labs and retailers in the U.S. and Canada will roll-out in several phases over the next few months. Phase 1 will include sales of discounted inventory packages including premium low-profile aspheric finished lenses featuring the OptimusTMUltraTM line of CR-39 and Polycarbonate lenses in a range of powers from +4.00 to -6.00 diopters sphere and up to 2.00 diopters cylinder. OptimusTMUltraTM is the company's brand name for its low-profile aspheric lens design and a state-of-the-art multi-coat process including super hard coat plus premium anti-reflective and oleophobic coatings.
