MV Transportation, Inc. retains Capitola Summer Shuttle

The City of Capitola has again selected MV Transportation, Inc. to manage and operate the weekend Summer Shuttle Service that provides rides for citizens and tourists throughout the City and to local beaches. Since 2004, MV has provided the operation and management of the shuttle. Under the terms of this five year, $95,000 contract the company will begin providing service on May 1, 2009.

"Over the past five years we have worked with the City each summer to give passengers a consistent level of quality service – utilizing a vehicle operator familiar with the system and a clean, safe vehicle."
Over the past five years, MV worked with the City to create a service that is well-known throughout the community for its customer focus, reliability and consistency. As a training tool and a safety enhancement, MV installed the DriveCam video system on the Capitola Shuttle. Through this technology – along with MV's comprehensive driver training program and dedicated vehicle operator – the company received zero passenger complaints since the start of service.
This contract is one of more than 30 that MV operators in California's Bay Area. MV also operates and manages transportation services in the cities of San Francisco, San Jose, Hayward and Vallejo.
