MV Transportation, Inc. wins $6.3 million Presidio Contract

The Presidio Trust has awarded MV Transportation, Inc. the operation and maintenance of the Presidio Shuttle Services. This system provides transportation throughout the park and beyond through the PresidiGo Downtown, PresidiGo Around the Park, Chestnut Street Lunch, and Caltrain Services. Under the terms of the 8-year contract, MV will begin providing service on March 1, 2009, through the use of more than eight Compressed Natural Gas vehicles. The company will also provide all operations and maintenance, as well as several of MV's proprietary real-time technology tools.

MV will also put into place its comprehensive vehicle maintenance program, extensive vehicle operator training program, and the DriveCam Video System. In addition, the company's proactive approach to road supervision will provide vehicle operators with the tools and information to complete routes safely and on-time as improvements to the Presidio are completed.
This contract is one of more than 30 that MV operators in California's Bay Area. MV also operates and manages transportation services in the cities of San Jose, Hayward, Livermore and Vallejo.
