Photo Tours of Boston
August 21, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
As a member of the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau, I would like to introduce you to my business, PhotoWalks, Boston's only photo tour company. PhotoWalks offers walking tours that uncover the photo opportunities in Beacon Hill, the Public Garden, along Freedom Trail, and the Waterfront. Each tour is presented with fascinating commentary and simple photographic secrets for composing artistic pictures of Boston. The PhotoWalks concept has been very successful with people of all ages, and all skill levels since its launch in 2002. Each tour enhances observation skills, more than any other type of walking tour. Visitors and locals see city sights from a different perspective, discover fascinating facts and trivia about Boston, and learn how simple photography techniques can significantly impact the way they take pictures. At the end of each tour, everyone has created artistic photographs using their own camera, and learned about Boston’s historic past and present. My tours have inspired many people to explore their photographic abilities further and observe our surroundings with a new outlook.
PhotoWalks has earned recognition in The Boston Globe, 2005 Frommer's Guide to Boston, the September 2004 issue of National Geographic Traveler as well as numerous other publications. PhotoWalks has been featured on WHDH-TV's Great Escapes, WCVB-TV's newsmagazine, Chronicle, Fox 25 News, and BBC Radio in Cambridge, England. The Editors of Yankee Magazine Travel Guide to New England have named PhotoWalks a Must-See Destination in Boston. I am also the author of Boston in Photographs.
Each tour costs $25 for adults and $12 for youth (10-17). All walking tours include the tips booklet, PhotoWalks Guide to Creative Photography. Group rates are available for 10 or more participating on a tour together.
