Uniondale's Long Island Marriott Hotel Unveils $21 Million Renovation of Meeting Space & Guest Rooms

Uniondale, NY October 222, 2008 — The Long Island Marriott Hotel & Conference Center has recently completed $21 million in renovations, as was announced by Michael Johnston, General Manager. The new hotel lobby, meeting and event space, ballrooms, lounges and accommodations mean that guests will find it easier than ever to meet their every need, whether they be for business or pleasure.


As part of Marriott's ongoing effort to meet the needs of today's travelers, the Long Island Marriott Hotel's new renovations include a newly reinvented and functionally organized lobby called "Skylight Lounge", complete with plug-in support and separated into zones which enable guests to work, relax, or socialize.
This new lobby features a "Social Zone" with inviting, comfortable couches perfect for group meetings; the "Library Zone" with a quiet working environment suitable for the business traveler; and the "At Your Service Zone" to accommodate arrival and departure needs.

Along with the hotel's major renovations, changes in service were made as well. Food and beverages will be sold throughout the day, starting with coffee and breakfast specialties. In addition to a brand new lobby, this Uniondale, NY hotel also completely renovated their meeting spaces, including a Grand Ballroom, Lighthouse Ballroom, and Skylight Room. Renovations include new carpet, wall coverings, lights, chandeliers, and a state-of-the-art sound system.

Guest rooms at the Long Island Marriott were also renovated to ensure maximum comfort and state-of-the-art technology.
