Del Mar, California– October 4, 2008 - KITCHEN 1540 is set to open to the public for dinner on November 4 at L'Auberge in Del Mar, CA. This chic, oceanfront restaurant will offer the perfect eclectic mix of experiences, with seamless transitions from the bar to the dining room and outdoor patio, and an innovative, seasonally-driven menu. L'Auberge Del Mar's own James Beard Chef, Paul McCabe, will be at the helm of KITCHEN 1540 and is responsible for this gourmet restaurant farm-to-plate concept. Chef McCabe utilizes the freshest seasonal produce, sustainable seafood and hormone-free meats to create an enticing and exciting menu, whether you're in the mood to sample a number of small plates or to simply enjoy an entrée. Chef McCabe says that "every dish is distinctive and surprising," such as the Whole Roasted Branzino Bass on the Winter 2008 menu.
