GALLOWAY, N.J. – October 2, 2008 – Costumes and creatures and candy galore, come celebrate Halloween down by the shore! Seaview Resort & Spa, one of the premier resort destinations in the Northeast, and a turn-of-the-century gatsbyesque bayside retreat, announced plans for a Haunted Hallo-Weekend. Throughout the weekend on Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1, the historic Seaview Resort will be dramatically transformed into a super spooky haunted house and Halloween attraction, complete with "tricks and treats" and an action-packed weekend of activities for the entire family.Seaview's Haunted Hallo-Weekend kicks off Friday at noon, with Halloween movies for children, along with exciting games and trick-or-treating in the completely transformed Regency Ballroom. Guests will also be treated to a welcome reception at 5 p.m., featuring complimentary snacks and drinks, where they will receive a map and information about the weekend's "spook-filled" festivities.
As the sun sets on Friday, Seaview's thrilling haunted house party will begin, starting with truly terrifying haunted hayrides through the Pines Golf Course. Later that night, the bravest of guests will be invited to explore Seaview's Annex, the forbidden corridor above the resort where no soul has dared to venture in decades! Be warned – the faint of heart need not participate!
Saturday's haunted Halloween events begin at 10 a.m. with movies and trick-or-treating for children, as well as hayrides to a pumpkin patch, where children are encouraged to pick the perfect pumpkin for a carving contest later in the day. Also highlighting the afternoon is a costume parade through the resort. Haunted hayrides, as well as tours through the terrifying Annex will continue throughout the night. The grand finale of Seaview's Haunted Hallo-Weekend will be a special midnight showing of the classic thriller "The Shining."
In addition to the haunted attractions in southern, NJ, Seaview will also be featuring specialty menus with delicious holiday themed selections in The Main Dining Room and The Grille Room throughout the weekend.
