Charlotte, N.C. – Popular NBA basketball team Charlotte Bobcats have chosen North Carolina based company Automated Shredding for their document destruction needs as the company looks to align their service partners to reflect their local community. Nic Barlage, account executive with Bobcats Sports and Entertainment, said the Bobcats had reviewed several accounts recently as they look to local providers for their service needs. "We are excited to be able to team up in the truest form of partnership with Automated Shredding," he said. "We are always looking to extend a hand to a company here in our own backyard; a company rooted here in our community."
Working with sports teams is nothing new for Automated Shredding owner Bob Korkos, who first opened Automated Shredding in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2002. There his company serviced both the Milwaukee Bucks NBA basketball team and the Milwaukee Brewers Major League baseball team. Barlage said this knowledge of sports-based services gave Automated Shredding an advantage with the Bobcats. "Having someone experienced in this aspect of business made the deal easier to finalize," Barlage said. Korkos opened the Charlotte office of Automated Shredding in 2007.
Korkos said he is honored to receive the Bobcats account. "We are very excited to be a partner with the Charlotte Bobcats and have confidence we'll exceed their expectations," Korkos said. "Our focus is on customer service and safeguarding our customers' information during the destruction process. We provide a comprehensive solution to secure document disposal for our clients." With identity theft at the top of the fastest growing crimes, Barlage said their greatest concern is to protect and safeguard all corporate and personal information for employees, players, customers, vendors and stakeholders. The Bobcats are very serious about document shredding.
Automated Shredding serves both North Carolina and South Carolina industries, organizations and residents with on-site shredding, setting them apart from most of the industry's competitors. Confidential documents are destroyed on-site, with a Certificate of Destruction for clients to keep for their records. Documents are also recycled, providing even greater confidentiality while benefiting the environment.
