Crystal Gateway Marriott's Restaurant Mez & Honolulu Fish Company Offer Eco-Friendly Sashimi Seafood

Arlington, VA (PRLEAP) September 19, 2008 — Crystal City's Restaurant Mez at the Crystal Gateway Marriott has joined with a Co-Op of fishermen with the Honolulu Fish Company, to present guests with a special seafood dinner menu of newly caught Hawaiian fish, fresh off the straights of Maui. All of the sashimi grade fish are caught by hook or line, sustainable and eco-friendly, instead of nets and trawls, which can be harmful to the environment.

Now through October, Restaurant Mez will be offering a sashimi seafood catch of the day special that includes: Opaka paka, Opah, Uku, Kea kea, Monchong, Mero filet, Ono and Mahi Mahi.

The selection of fish at this Arlington seafood restaurant changes daily depending on what is caught; each day three or four types of fish are featured. Customers will have a choice of preparation: grilled, pan-seared, oven roasted, lightly breaded pan-fried and poached; and a choice of flavor profiles of papaya-mango relish, Asian slaw, Fuji apple-ginger chutney, chipotle-lime honey butter and lemongrass blackened seasonings. The entrees are offered at a promotional price from $26 - $29 and include a choice of two side dishes. To compliment these exceptional seafood dishes, Restaurant Mez offers wine pairings and flights of red and white wines.
