Minneapolis Orthodontics Practice Introduces iBraces To Twin Cities

August 28, 2008- ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth's Minneapolis orthodontics practice has become the first in the Twin Cities to offer iBraces.

Lingualcare, a 3M Unitek company, recently invited Eisenhuth and several other orthodontists from throughout the nation to train directly with Dr. Dirk Wiechmann, the German orthodontist who invented iBraces.

iBraces are lingual braces- those affixed behind the teeth instead of to the visible surfaces- that are uniquely designed for each individual patient "to hug the lingual surfaces of your teeth for optimal comfort, fit and performance," according to the Lingualcare Web site (http://www.lingualcare.com/patient/about.php).

The low-profile appearance of iBraces makes them less likely to affect speech than traditional lingual braces.

"This is a great product and I'm proud to be among the first orthodontists to offer it to my patients," Eisenhuth said.

Lingual braces are particularly popular with people who are interested in the aesthetic aspects of orthodontics, she said.

iBraces are an effective way to undergo orthodontic treatment without it appearing noticeable to everyone.

Dr. Eisenhuth who is a Minneapolis orthodontics attended the University of Minnesota Dental School and graduated in the top of her class. She earned the Minnesota Association of Orthodontic Achievement Award and several academic achievement awards.
