Skybound Offers Auction & Web Site Chat Program for Free.

FENWICK, ONTARIO – September 3, 2004 – Skybound Software is now offering their popular auction & web site program, MeetPoint, for free. This has been done to increase product awareness and to support occasional users.

Many trial users have reported that they would like to use the program permanently, but would not use it enough to justify even a small cost. Since Skybound depends on these users for product promotion, it was decided that an effort should be made to keep them on board.

"We wanted MeetPoint to tend to the needs of smaller users, but we don't believe in releasing crippled software,' said Skybound co-owner, Paul Young.

The answer was to move the program over to tiered billing. Each tier is now limited by the number of unique customers a user can chat with in a month. A free account allows a MeetPoint user to chat with 30 unique customers per month, which is more than enough for a part time business owner or online auctioneer. By subscribing to a higher tier, users can easily increase this limit as their business grows.
The latest release of MeetPoint also includes new features. It provides an email form with a list of email subjects that make it easy to send offline messages. The chat window also has a new, attractive look, which can be customized and visually integrated into any web site.
