Viscape.com picks Dewey Beach as the first destination for its launch

Viscape.com, a Web 2.0 social marketplace for vacation properties and second homes, has chosen Dewey Beach, Delaware as the first destination for the site's much-anticipated launch. Dewey will be followed by destinations all along the East and West coasts, and spots across the Caribbean.

Asked why she chose Dewey Beach as Viscape's launch pad, Viscape's founder and president, Caroline Allison, said: "Viscape is based in Washington, DC and Dewey Beach is the Washington area's favorite beach getaway. It was a natural choice. Dewey Beach needs to market to the Washington area, and Washington metro residents are receptive to the message. It just made sense to start there."
