The BOSAs Songwriting Awards

Since 2000 The BOSAs Songwriting Awards have embraced and encouraged the craft of songwriting. Offering cash, prizes and exposure opportunities to aspiring artists around the world with a twice yearly competition.

Call For Entries — The deadline to enter this current round is October 21, 2005

Crediting a steady growth in participation levels over the past 2 years The BOSAs have expanded their sponsor list for the current round of competitions and secured over $10,000 in cash, merchandise and exposure for their prize packages.

Entry categories include: Rock, Country, Folk, Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Instrumental, Holiday and Inspirational with the top three entries from each category earningprize awards as well as inclusion on The BOSAs Showcase Recordings which are distributed to a list of over 125 publishers, producers and other industry professionals who have requested to hear them.

Professional recordings are not required to enter The BOSAs competition. All entries are judged strictly upon originality, melody, lyrics (when applicable), and overall composition by a panel of judges consisting of songwriters, musicians, and other media-related persons. The performance and production are not considered in the judging process.

The BOSAs provide Scoring Sheets for entrants to see how their song(s) rank within the competition and also offer professional critiques from the panel of judges on both scored and unscored elements of your song(s) as well.

Previous BOSAs winners have received publishing and recording contracts, been included on compelation recordings and also had their compositions used in film projects.
