FantasySportsHelmets.com Adds Reality to Fantasy Football

It's not uncommon for a fantasy football coach to be more passionate about his fantasy team than any NFL franchise. But although the NFL spends millions of dollars each year to develop team brand and identity, many fantasy teams might only have a name.

A new Web site launched last week aims to help fantasy football coaches build their own team identity – without an NFL-sized budget.

FantasySportsHelmets.com lets team owners customize their own team logo and helmet. Using an interactive Helmet Color Factory, they can select from 25 colors for their helmet, face mask and stripes. Then they have the option to choose a logo from the Logo Gallery or let a professional graphic artist develop a custom logo for their team.

"On Draft Day, my friends and I refer to each other as 'coach,'" said Marty Beets, founder of FantasySportsHelmets.com. "To outsiders that might seem strange, but people who play fantasy football want it to be as close to the real thing as possible. That's how this site came about – it's a way for fantasy teams to have a real identity as opposed to just a name."

Within seven days of receiving the order, the coach will receive the completed helmet via e-mail in five different sizes. The smallest of the sizes (60 x 60 pixels) is perfect to use on online message boards, while the largest size (500 x 500 pixels) is ideal for signage. In addition, anyone who places an order by September 8 will receive a free, custom desktop wallpaper featuring the team helmet.

Helmets that incorporate artwork from the Logo Gallery are just $10 and customized logos are only $5 more.

Discounts are available for entire leagues or groups by contacting Beets through the Web site.
